A poem by Beverly Stock.

I'm back, Just where I want to be.

Hooray, I survived

You and me.

Our pace hot and coarse,

Wanting and craving.

Your demands

Much too verbose.

I lost the addiction

I’ve regained control

No longer do I

Believe your contradictions.

Your affection, your meddling

And your friction,

All interfered with

Any possible remission.

I see now with much

More perspective.

Who you are, and

Your consuming objective.
