Away with silks, sewn and drawn,
Garments made by those renowned,
I dress with integrity,
Not in fancy drapery.
Garments lasting evermore,
Simple style’s ambassador,
Neither tettar,* time, or moth,
Shall alter my mind or cloth.
No consequence shall I fear,
From my humble Sunday wear.
