a poem by Beverly Stock

Sciatic Pain,

Pouring Rain,

Plantar Strain,

Insoles in-Vain,

Toes Askew,

Lumps-a-Few,

Patchy Skin,

Cannot Win,

Meds Overdue,

Up-to-You,

Heating Pads,

Stretching Too.

Arthritis!

Osteo Remains,

Psoriatic Inflames,

Healing Cream,

Relieving Dream,

Doctor’s Care,

Therapy Repair,

Knotty Hands,

Crooked Spine,

All these and

more are mine.

Safe, my soul, from Artritis’ grasp

As is my mind, strong and victorious!

Arthritis!
