  My Poems

The Third Trimester

A poem by Beverly Stock.

First, the frequent urination,

Bit too often, I should mention.

Quite suddenly, my legs get cramps,

Perhaps, I swim too many laps.

The very worst is the heartburn,

Public belching is concerning,

There’s now brown blotches on my skin,

What intervention should begin?

But how on earth do I avoid,

Those sudden blooming hemorrhoids?

All because my hair’s now silver ?

(I’m an older poet, sans a filter!)

Suggestion:

If these symptoms make you quiver,

Ease into your third trimester!

Beverly Stock, born in St. Louis, MO, is enjoying her third trimester of life (60+ years old) as a poet. Her work has been published on ClassicalPoets.org, at theChainedMuse.com, on Persimmontree.Org, and on the Webzine Lighten Up Online.
