Consistency Redux

 When a poet suggests a man has two heads,

Then, is she saying he must lay in two beds?

If two heads, two torsos indeed be the case,

For two heads, four arms and four legs take up space.

Is this just a crude and preposterous verse,

With no depth of reason, a substantive curse?

Art takes some licence, I must say sincerely,

To fashion effects, reason suffers, clearly.

This then, be my moral: Compose what you may,

An uncompromised starving poet you’ll stay.
